Project Brief

COWI, a long standing client, specialises in applying world-class knowledge and experience globally based on engineering, economics, and environmental science. They contacted McFeggan Brown to refurbish and refresh their existing office building in York. It was clear that health and wellbeing was at the forefront of their vision, so a full design and a CAT B fit out was achieved to accommodate this.

The space adapts to a hybrid working practice, with collaboration areas within the open plan environment, complete with the best technology to enable easy connectivity to staff working from home. Along with working stations being bright and spacious, height adjustable desks were installed to increase flexibility and allow the staff to work as they choose. Greenery and a range of textures bring a fresh and organic feeling to the space.
